Location
The Mediterraneo Hotel Sorrento is an historic building on the beautiful cliff of the Sorrento Peninsula located sheer above the sea, overlooking the marvellous scenery of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. The undisputed charms of the Amalfi Coast, Island of Capri and the archaeological sites of Pompei and Herculaneum are at a very short distance from the hotel for a stroll during the stay.

We had a very nice room with a balcony overlooking the sea, which was wonderful. The bed, linens, etc are very comfortable and everything was very clean. The hotel has a restaurant, of sorts. It is the same room that breakfast is served in and it is more like a buffet than a dining experience. Also, they offer no room service and all dining shuts down in the afternoon, even at the pool. The staffing in the hotel could have been better. They weren't rude, they weren't very helpful or friendly. They do the minimum. But, I would put up with the lack of customer service to stay at this hotel again because of the property, views and pool...

All the people working and associated with the hotel were very friendly and extremely helpful. Definitely a hotel for people, who want good service and a quiet and relaxed environment. The customer service desk staff were particularly helpful.

The people that work in the hotel are amazing. I would definitely stay there again because of the service - that in my opinion was really good. The breakfast is also great.
