The Mediterranean is close to several family attractions like Aquascene, where hundreds of fish can be hand fed every day at high tide and the Mindil Beach Sunset Market featuring food and souvenirs, both just five minutes by car.

The location is fine. The room was clean. The set-up was a bit odd with the bathroom in the bedroom and very little room for sitting - a narrow couch flanked by two bed. A very strong cleaning agent was used - stinging my eyes a bit. Friendly staff.

Kitchen dishes and pots were left dirty and had to be re-washed before use. Bedspreads and upholstery smelled bad and looked dirty -- we had to put towels over the rickety "sofa" before even sitting on it. The furnishings were drab and dismal, the color scheme monochromatic and depressing. The TV was miniscule. The bed in the living room was awful and just took up space. There were no chairs in the living room or bedroom. There was a large termite hole in the bathroom woodwork. The hotel dining room was closed and under renovation so there was no food available of any kind. There was no bedstand or light on one side of the bed. On top of all this the place was way overpriced.

Clean room 3 blocks from the centre of Darwin. Large 2 room suite with shower and toilet access via bedroom. A bit tired.
