Mayflower Hotel Beirut Guest Reviews
Great experience in the heart of Hamra with its shopping, restaurants and cosmopolitan feel. Three blocks from American University Beirut, which is an oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. The hotel is old but well maintained, with an old world charm and historic character. The wait staff at breakfast were wonderful; the desk staff were helpful if not overly chummy. Our room was small but more than adequate for a week long stay. The bathroom had been renovated and was nice and clean. The TV is hard to work, but once figured out had dozens of channels in several languages. The minibar provided a steady supply of bottled water for our excisions around the city and country (however, the red wine was awful). The in room safe was too small for my notebook. Internet access was fast, but took multiple steps to go online. Felt safe and secure at all hours. We'll stay here again.

A very pleasant place to stay, nice people, comfortable rooms, good breakfast, connexion to internet, cozy pub... Only the room making up was a little slow, just forget to have your room made in the morning if you hang around, but irrelevant when you leave the hotel for the the whole day. As a whole, I recommend it if you have a middle income. You will be happy with the value of your money!

Excellent location and well worth money since its quite cheap. Dont stay here if you're used to luxury cause you certainly wont experience that here. Staff were v.friendly and breakfast was nice

Well, well, well.. How to say. unless you need to stay around the American University in Beirut, why would you want to stay in this area? Too far from downtown and too far from the Corniche (pidgeon rocks). maybe I had a bad day but the room I got was undescribable. Wish I could post pictures. Then again, better for the hotel like this. However I have to say internet connection was chargeable but very good. so no complaints here. Breakfast was good. Considering that Beirut is really expensive I give the pricing a "good", otherwise it would be way overpriced. Tried to arrange some trips with the service desk but I couldn't lose the feeling that they did get a hefty commission out of it and therefore they prefered to sell me utterly overpriced options. No bad feelings, but would I stay there again? I doubt, I wouldn't say no but too inconvenient.
