Pointe aux Piments has two seasons, summer and winter, but has a warm climate all year long. Summers run from November to April and are hot and humid, while winters run from May to October and are cool and dry. Rainfall generally takes place during the summer months and can be quite refreshing.

By air, the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Airport, also known as Plaisance Airport, is located on the southwestern part of Mauritius. Passengers can make accommodations at the airport to reach their hotels and resorts in Pointe aux Piments.
Sailing to the island of Mauritus is a popular way to travel. There are also chartered yachts available for those coming in from the coast of Africa. If visitors choose to come to the island this way, they should check with the local port authority for information and coordinates.
