Location
Placed close to the coconut palms of majestic Four Mile Beach and just a two minute stroll into the Port Douglas Village, the Martinique on Macrossan is a classical French Caribbean designed boutique apartment resort. This property is located in the hub of one of the most spectacular holiday destinations in the world, which includes the World Heritage Wonders of the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Tropical Rainforest.

It was a lovely, quiet and well maintained place to stay. I must admit the best thing was it's great location which was a short walk from everything! The hosts Fred and Antonia were also very nice and helpful.

The hotel was lovely and the staff were kind and welcoming. The location was excellent, near the beach and restaurants, right on the main street of Pt Douglas. The room was spacious and tropical and felt private and cool. Had a lovely big flatscreen tv. The lounge area had a sofa bed. My room on the ground floor was spacious and I felt the staff were accommodating to place me in the ground floor as I was travelling with someone who had sore legs, to avoid walking up stairs. I would and will stay there again. Reasonable price for the location and quality.

Fantastic place and Antonia and Fred went beyond the call when we had issues with our next hotel (in Sydney). Great people, great place!

We had a wonderful stay at Martinique! Fred and Antonia are absolute gems and couldn't do enough to be of assistance. We definitely advise you to listen to their tourist tips as they have a wonderful insight into Port Douglas and its surrounds. The apartments are lovely and clean and the grounds are beautifully maintained. We will definitely be back!!
