Excellent qulaity and very helpful staff. Could restaurant and bar meals. Ideally located near the racecourse with a regular bus service running past the hotel into the centre of York so avoiding the parking problems there.

We received a lovley surprise in our room. It was our 25th Wedding anniversary and un be known to us, a bowl of fresh fruit and a message had been left for us -- a very thoughtful thing to do - thank you

Only stayed there 1 night - but the room & breakfast were excellent 2 (very) minor complaints - the room was cold initially - but when the heating was switched on the hot air blowers warmed it up within 5 minutes / strangley we did'nt find any heating the large bathroom. Views from breakfast were ideal - looking straigt out onto York racecourse

Bar food v expensive and nothing special. Room fine but was only in it for a while as spent most of the time at a wedding. Good location. Didn't have time to use facilities (gym, tennis court etc.)
