Marriott Hotel New Orleans Guest Reviews
From the exterior, the hotel looks very old and dated, but upon walking in the decor was nice and updated. Check-in was a bit frustrating. Long line and only one agent doing the check-in. The other agent was standing by the "check-in line starts here" sign and kept trying to get everyone in a nice straight line even though we all knew our place. She could have invested her energy checking people in, but didn't. The room itself was nice, but very dusty. I had asked for a down-free room, which it was, but then had to contend with the excessive dust and my allergies to the dust. Housekeeping only came by to our room 2 out of the 4 days, which meant no trash taken out, beds were left unmade, and no fresh towels. That was not acceptable but when this information was shared with the operator, no concern communicated to us about the lack of housekeeping. I guess that's normal around this hotel. The only helpful person was a lady at the concierge desk who gave us clear information on getting around, points of interest, etc. Although the location is great, I would have rather spent more somewhere else to receive all around better customer service from the front desk and housekeeping.

The Marriott was a wonderful experience. The staff was warm, friendly and very helpful with answering our questions about the sights around town. The hotel itself was immaculate. And our room was always clean with the most comfortable beds. The staff in the restaurant was also friendly and courteous . I always try to stay at a Marriott hotel because I know I will never be disappointed and recommend the same to anyone.

Location couldn't have been better, however the hotel itself wasn't impressive. The staff was slow, short, uninformative, & a little rude. The hot water was always lacking in the showers. Our toilet was clogged the first day we were there. Food at the hotel was overpriced for the quality. Plus we were told they do not keep whole milk, so we had to run to a store or restaurant everytime my one year old wanted milk. The vending machines were always empty. The "heated" pool was pretty but not heated enough for use. A plus was the Starbucks onsite, though it closed l early. The valet were the friendliest staff there.

This is a great hotel stay at in New Orleans. It's near the French Quarter and the Superdome is not far. I will stay here again

Claire and I both needed seperation from out homes, so we escaped to New Orleans for an over nighter; it was "great"... just not long enough. I was in that Marriott 5 years ago, since they have remodeled. The beds now are AWESOME! Would have stayed longer but our one night splurge ($$$) was enough.
