Its an old hotel, probably about 10 years old and the rooms are in desperate need of an upgrade. Not worth the money you are paying to stay in this hotel. The only 2 good aspects of staying here is 1. the biggest mall in Cebu, the Ayala Mall is right next door, so great choice for food, drinks, shopping and entertainment and 2. the security in this hotel is pretty tight, you get screened once at the gate to the driveway of the hotel and again as you enter the hotel lobby.

The room is really good. New furnishings in the room. A nice and comfortable bed. Had a great time here!

We had two bookings and this review is from the guest of the other room I booked for our trip.... Rooms and hallways are wreak of cigar smell. You can always go to the restaurants for your meals as the food in the hotel is not really great. Internet is free and has good speed. Staff is courteous and try to help you all the time. I dont think we will be staying at the Marriott in Cebu again though.

I chose this hotel because it was a global brand- Marriott. We were so disappointed with the food in the restaurants and the bar- from the breakfast, etc. The food they serve just looked "sad." It did not look fresh or appealing. The worst part is that the plate I got from the stack used for the buffet service - even had rice glued to it. The plate was supposed to have been washed...I dont know how and why there was still rice on the breakfast buffet plates. We stayed in a business suite - that was supposed to be non-smoking - but the hallway and the room wreaked. Housekeeping service was good. The housekeeping staff were courteous and did their jobs well - or as best as they could considering what they have to work with - smelly rooms. The front desk staff need training. After three days, at the check out - the supervisor even asked me how many guests checked in at our room. I could not believe a supervisor will ask that question at check out time. We booked for 2 rooms for our family. So the pain was worse. The only good thing about this hotel - was the security. All entrances are well guarded- even surpassing those hotels in Manila. This hotel is good if you want to be near the shops and city restaurants in Cebu. We would have gone mental if not for the superb restaurants in the nearby Ayala mall. BTW - our family visited Shangrila and Marco Polo for lunch and dinner. And all I can say - we definitely know where we wont be staying the next time we are in Cebu. The management of this hotel needs to lift their game.

Very clean and modern rooms with friendly staff. The hotel had nurses on call 24/7 which was very useful following a motorbike accident I was involved in on a day trip to Bohol. Food is good and competitively priced, with that of quality restaurants outside the hotel. Broadband is a little overpriced, but there is free wifi available in some coffee shops at the Ayala centre (150m walk from the hotel).

This hotel is in a great location, it''s in a very nice area of Cebu, with a large mall within walking distance from the hotel. It is also close to the pier where you can catch the fast boats to other islands in the area. It needs to have a little better cleaning of the rooms and some of the carpets are showing some wear. They have a very good buffet and the food is above average. Security at the hotel has been improved but needs more work.

Very nice hotel. Rooms are big enough for two adults and two kids. Those two full beds was very comfortable. Bathrooms are clean and hot water really working good. Nice location just walking distance from a major shopping center. Lobby was a little bit small than I expected. Bartender George was great. Over all I''m completely satisfied, the only thing that needs improvement, in my opinion is the swimming pool area. It''s too plain.

A large portrait of the hotel''s founder graces the lobby of this 4 star hotel. Indeed, Mr. Marriott''s presence is felt by all guests and staff. The Cebu Marriott, like most Marriott properties worldwide, is managed in an efficient and professional manner.

The size of the standard room was nothing to write home about; but housekeeping kept it clean and fresh. The bathroom was modern and well-stocked. An iron and ironing board in the closet was most appreciated, and so were the bottles of complimentary water.

There is a clean, inviting pool next to the lobby cafe. I saw only one or two guests using it. Speaking of the cafe, the hotel offers a wonderful breakfast with a full range of local dishes and American favorites. Don''t pass it up. The Marriott noses-out another popular hotel with its excellent location. A major three level shopping mall (with a modern entertainment complex) is only footsteps away from the Marriott''s front door. Enjoy!!!
