The folks at Finisterre were nice and the room was clean. The Conceirge was helpful and booked several tours for us. The gym is small, but it has everything you would want (treadmill, weights, big punching bag.) The hotel had a good breakfast buffet (about $14 per person.) Be aware that: 1. Almost no one speaks perfect English in the hotel. Make sure you ask questions repeatedly and in several different ways to make sure that people understand you. Speak very simply and clearly. 2. There are some bad restaurants in the area, so beware. I say this as a pretty picky eater - I like fresh fruits,meats, and vegetables. The places where it looks like locals hang out oftentimes have lots of fried food or canned vegetables. 3. When walking around watch out for open manholes and completely exposed curb gutters. I almost fell into the sewer system a few times. 4. Bring an umbrella - you will need it! 5. Take yellow taxis instead of the VIP taxis. You will save 50-75%. Most yellow taxis will take you anywhere for $5.
