Great, huge hotel with all facilities, nice big rooms. We stayed there for just one night before heading home because it is very close to the airport (10 minutes). Huge pool and wonderful little lake where you can paddle in a canoe and watch varans and monkeys. We travelled with two small children (5 and 7) and they loved it, too!

Great setting for relaxing with family. Ditto for business activities. Not the night club scene.

Didn't really like this place... it has a very fake feel to it and is located far away from everything. Getting to the nearest beach costs over $10 by cab, and even getting to the small and uneventful town of Krabi requires some form of transportation. Also, it is very expensive for what you get...

This is one of the better resorts. While it may not be on the beachfront the resort has shuttles which take you to Ao Nang. It has a large garden area as well. Certainly one of the best resorts for the prices on offer.

Excellent hotel, the rooms are bright and spacious with all the ameneties you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The grounds and pool are beautiful and scenry breathtaking - our room had a view over the famous limestone karsts which are lit up at night so very romantic. Breakfast has a wide choice and the hotel restaurant is good. The hotel is situated out of town which is about a 5 minute drive away, the hotel does has a shuttle service but we had our own car. I would definately stay here again and highly recommend it for anyone who just wants to relax in a beautiful setting or has their own transport. A walk around the lake at sunset is a must as is a trip to tiger cave nearby and the waterfall.

Oh dear. Great hotel, idyllict view and staff so friendly and willing. But training seems non existent. Try getting a taxi or a poolside towel promptly. To be an international hotel charging 25% more than say Penang they've got to be a whole lot sharper. This is a big management problem. Breakfasts are a bit poor too with not much choice. But other than this carping its a delightful place to stay well away from the tourism of Ao Nang. Tip: beware the scam at the hotel pier for the 1 Hour boat trip. Check the price and if it is for two or each.

The location of the hotel isn't the best, but it didn't matter since the staff were really friendly and the surrondings very beautiful. We had a great time staying there.

The staff left a lot to be desired. Everytime we ordered food and drinks they made mistakes, service was very slow and the atmosphere in the hotel was non existent. The porters were the exception, they were helpful and friendly.

Great pool area and nice big rooms. Quiet. I recommend that you take a taxi or hotel shuttle bus to Ao Nang beach.

Beautiful pool and surrounding grounds. We had a fantastic time - but our extremely positive view of the this hotel might be due to the fact that we had just returned from a week of very rustic travel in the national park and that we were upgraded to a suite due to room shortages. Either way, it is a lovely hotel and a VERY good value. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a few days of sun and relaxation, but would caution against long stays, as the hotel is somewhat isolated and not near any of the magnificent beaches in the Krabi area.

Rooms were lovely. Front reception not overly friendly. Restaurants served reasonably good food at normally lukewarm temperature!

Hotel by himself is good looking, nice swimming pool, nice landscape and surrounding. Toilet and public area in poor conditions. Towels for swimming old are not really clean for a 5 stars hotel. Rating for Krabi Meritime is no more than 3 stars, only one restaurant is open, and not 24H. The food is only basic level. Restaurant waitress are toO familiar with guests, and are engaging talk even if you''re not receptive. Breakfast buffet at B300/Pax is overpriced for Thai food. Rooms are OK, properly maintained, but not exeptional. In general everything is overpriced, compare to the quality and the fact we''re in Krabi.

Overall, we were very pleased with the Krabi Meritime. We were somewhat disappointed, however, with the food, and specifically with dinner. Breakfast was always excellent, but we had dinner at the hotel once, and we weren't very impressed with anything we ordered. Especially considering the price, it seems that the dinner cuisine could use some improvement. Yes, I would stay at the hotel again, and I would recommend it to others.

Large extensive resort with excellent facilities great position can't comment on food because didn't eat in the hotel. The hotel was quite empty which we liked and it felt very special, probably different when full in high season. Would recommend try to get a room on the higher floors -fantastic views. Not convenient for the beach which is about 20 minutes by hotel shuttle, but this is free.

A beautiful site, with lovely rooms and nice grounds. Restaurant facilities were a bit limited, but this may be due to the season not having fully got underway. The free shuttle to Krabi town could do with being more frequent, or at least providing a return later than 20:15.

The resort runs a free shuttle out to Railey beach which is great, and they had great theme nights (Thai banquet and Thai dancing - or Sea Gypsy seafood night) which were discounted and worked out great value, as the one we did included a free boat trip around the mangroves first.
