I reserved a full ocean view Queen suite 3 months in advance. I arrived at the hotel and was told the room was not available. The only available room was a "partial" view room. Went to the partial view room and found the "partial" view was only of all the other hotel buildings and the sliver of ocean between the buildings. And on top of that, there were two single beds. Went down to the desk again and they said the only thing they could do was put me at their other hotel, Equos, in what they called a Bamboo Suite which would have a queen bed, no view, and no kitchenette. I agreed because I needed a queen size bed. The whole purpose of getting the full ocean view suite at the Marina Tower was to have an OCEAN VIEW and also to have the kitchenette so that when we woke up in the morning we could make our own little breakfast and enjoy the view. Then, because I was not technically staying at the Marina Tower (even though the hotels are linked together), I was not allowed to park my rental car and had to pay for overnight parking ($20 per night) at another facility down the road. I understand hotels overbook, but I made my reservation 3 MONTHS in advance!!! I called the reservation company and they gave me a whopping $15 per night off my reservation which didn't even amount to 10% of the total reservation amount. Needless to say, I was very very dissatisfied with the whole ordeal. Location was fine. Walking distance to a mall or to Waikiki beach. Cleanliness was normal. The room that I did stay in was ok, but the bed was not very comfortable. Staff could have been more helpful and accommodating given the circumstances. My lesson learned: Always confirm your room reservation with the HOTEL before arriving.

Older style units but clean with good service. Close to shops and food, 1 block from waterfront.

The hotel was under renovation but was not bothered about the noise so much. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpfull. I would recommnend this hotel for young couples with smaller budget but wanting to stay close by Waikiki. Linette at the reception desk was the best and really made my trip special by givig me some tips and directions. Thanks to all the staff at the hotel for making my holiday so special.

Please, if you want to enjoy your stay at Hawaii, you better put some few more dollars for a better hotel. This hotel is awfully noisy. Service is bad. I asked several times to check the bedsheets from my bed because they were too short and it has been very difficult for them to fix that. Had to request many times. They do not take into consideration any of your request. Very poor quality. They also don't clean much the bathroom.
