Excelent location on the beach with beach services (important on sand). Located in Leblon area, also highly protected, which I recommend to all concerning crime treats. You can walk around in the evening without any problems. The Leblon center (shops, restaurants) is few steps away. However if you are looking for nightlife, maybe other districts are better, but you can still get easy there.. Area looks more like Champs Elisee than south america. Even the district is not cheap. The hotel itself is 4 star by the european standards. For other parts of city visiting you have taxis (pick in less than minute) and tour operators. Hotel staff helps with anything (late check out, trasport services,...). Prices in hotel are a little bit high, but OK. Breakfast is good, continental and brasilian choices.

The location of this hotel could not be better. There is an amazing beach right across the street and the hotel provides excellent beach service. The breakfast was good by brazilian standards. The only drawback was the cost which was at least twice as much as the room was worth. This is the case for all Rio hotels, though.

Ipanema and Leblon beaches are without a doubt the best places to stay in Rio. Of the hotels comparable to Marina Palace, this is the best price. Rooms could use some upkeep.

All the stuff were extremely helpful and polite. Good location. Most rooms with nice beach view. Even side-view rooms are quite enjoyable. Very good breakfast.
