Marina Inn San Francisco Guest Reviews
Marina Inn is in an ideal location for exploring San Francisco, particularly as Yolande and Ashesh on reception are treasures with information and advice. Minuses for some may be no on site parking and it is on a busy road,. We stayed in 212 which has not 1 but 2 bay windows. We love to people watch so perfect, and we slept with earplugs so no problems with the traffic noise. The continental breakfast is adequate - porridge, hard boiled eggs, muffins, and good coffee - a good start to a busy day. Would definitely stay here again.

Though not a Hilton this hotel met our expectations for location and facilities. The front desk staff were brilliant and should be used as role models by the more expensive chains in terms of providing exemplary customer service. Location very close, one block, to frequent San Fran public transport, to downtown via Fisherman's Wharf or to Golden Gate. Only slight criticism would Continental Breakfast selection a little odd, hard boiled eggs but no toast or danish!! Only one choice of muffin, but a coffee shop on the premises served very reasonable breakfast US$10 for 2

Reception helpful and friendly. Fairly far from downtown, but close-ish to Fisherman's Wharf. Rooms ancient but clean. Breakfast basic - english muffins and hardboiled eggs. Good price for what you get.

This place is noisy. It is right on an intersection, and the inside walls are paper thin. If you are light sleeper, it can be difficult to get a good night's sleep. And the comforter was the dirtiest I have ever seen. There was no thermostat to adjust the temp, there was this tube blowing out hot (warm) air. It just wasn't enough for the night time lows around 30s/40s.
