Location
Mantra Trilogy is ideally situated just a few blocks from Cairns Railway Station and five and a half kilometres from Cairns International Airport. Holidaymakers browse the stores at Cairns Central Shopping Mall and play slots at the nearby Casino.

I stayed at the Mantra Trilogy whilst attending a conference at the Cairns Convention Centre. The hotel is very well located - close to the beach front esplanade, shops, cafes & the wonderful regional art gallery - and is only a 10-15 minute walk from the Convention Centre. The staff were welcoming, attentive & helpful, including responding quickly to a query after I've left the hotel. The outdoor pool complex is the best I've come across in Cairns (it has a lap pool of abt 25m which is unusually long & welcome). The room was well-appointed. However, I was disconcerted by the lack of privacy due to no terylene/gauze curtains for the window overlooking the complex. Also, I hadn't realised before arrival that the room wld not be cleaned daily - the wastepaper bins shld have lids. Overall a hotel which is strongly recommended.

Very friendly staff helpful with all suggestions Close to the Esplanade and all the restaurants along the waterfront. central location to the city centre

The room numbers are poorly marked - Like room 509A and 509B are behind the 509 door - took a while to work out. One of the lifts had a couple of cracked tiles on the foor - gives you a bad first impression. There was mould on the bathroom tile joints - it is the tropic,s however a bit more attention to detail. HOWEVER the bed was great and the overall experience was GOOD - you would not be disappointed.

Right on the beach of Cairns City. The pool is located on the third floor which gives a great view of the beach. Also see the bats cover the sky when the sun goes down. Also located below Mantra are great resturants we enjoyed. We will be checking out other Mantra places around Australia.

We arrived early at the hotel and was assured that an early check-in would not be a problem. However, the front desk staff were unsympathetic with our desire to check-in early and did not seem to care that we had hardly slept etc. One female staff member in particular was either having a bad day or really doesn't know the elements of good customer service as she is the main reason our first impression, and last impression has been tainted. The room was not completely cleaned, with hair in the bathroom and the utensils unclean. Overall the hotel is not too bad, but I think we will try a different one next time unless the room rate is discounted. Best feature of the hotel is the location.
