Very nice room, clean & tidy. Now the not so good - two points, probably a bit semantic but anyway. First - why does the booking website ask for a smoking/non-smoking preference and then when I choose smoking for my wife, am told on arrival there is absolutely no smoking allowed. So my wife is supposed to go and stand outside in the rain at 2 o'clock in the morning on her own in the middle of Southbank???? Not good enough, if there is no smoking, fine but tell me prior to booking not after I have paid my money. I believe that falls under false advertising not to mention the possible harm that could have occurred to my wife. Second - a distinct lack of cable channels to view, I am really not interested in kiddies shows or soft porn.

The railway line is a nice feature and the design fault in the bathroom is just like having your own swimming pool in you room. Other than that it is nice place and very well located.

Excellent buffet breakfast. Parking is a bit expensive. Good place to stay if you don't have a car.

Not a bad stay Go for upper rooms and in the front as the back is noisey due to the railway tracks
