Rooms was absolutely boiling. Windows don't open. Going out into the hall is worse. The air conn took 3 days to cool the room. As a result it was very hard to sleep. Hotel needs to upgrade it's air conn and add double-glazing or tinting to the windows.

Airconditioning extremely poor, a second fan was required to try and cool room, bathroom door was kept closed to try and keep main living area cool which made the bathroom like a sauna. Closed curtains to keep sunlight out, cleaners kept opening them after we had requested to keep closed!!

The room cost $800 a night (high rates all over Perth on this night) and the cost was absolutely unmerited. Firstly the Mantra was overbooked so the traveller was sent to another location. While the apartment was good it was very ordinary for $800 a night. This is the same price for 5 star hotels in the same city on the same night and those hotels have superior facilities. Mantra, you're not the Hyatt, the Duxton or a Sheraton and $800 for an apartment a night is a rip off.

Upon check in I was allocated room . Trouble was, the room was already ocupied. I used my room key card to open the door and to my surprise I walked in on another couple. I beat a very hasty retreat and went back to reception. They were amazed that the room was ocupied so some questions need to be asked about their booking system. Finally got to my room only to discover that the air conditioning did not work. Informed reception and was told that the maintenance guy would be in at 8.00 am the following morning. Spent a very hot and uncomfortable night. The air con was fixed the following morning but only lasted a few hours and broke down again. Same again, the maintenance man would be in at 8.00 am. My other issue with this establishment is the cost of room service. The rib steak was $49.00. In fareness the steak was well cooked but very definately not worth the hgh price. Generally, a very dissapointing experience and not good value for money. Perth is very expensive for accommodation but there is very much better value than this place. I will not stay here again.

Everything was fine, location good, rooms comfortable and clean. Not bad value really, BUT uncomfortable in the dining area and foyer due to air con breakdown, although room was good. Will stay there again, but will check on Air con.

Extremely helpful and cheerful staff. Would definately stay here again. Great location for tourists. Rooms were very clean comfortable and newly refurbished. Only complaint was that the apartment(Queen Studio) had only one chair for sitting at the table to eat. I"m sure if I'd asked one more would have been provided.

Shower had quite a bit of mould and room had no wall hangings. TV remote was not functioning properly. Housekeeping did not replace tea or coffee. Internet access far too expensive compared to many other hotels. Front of house staff were great, room service food excellent. Great location.

1. 'Service with a smile' lacking. 2. Request for extra towel and pillow was acknowledged but not done. 3. Insufficient lighting in room. Kitchen area is dark. 4. Only one side lamp. Other side table has no lamp.

The biggest disappointment was that there was no hotel parking and it ended up costing us a further $50 for parking in the city, very inconvenient. The service was a little slack, requested a cot, no cot on arrival, requested a late check out and had cleaners come to room twice to see if we had left or not. The room itself was very nice and the location is excellent. Recommend for travellers with no transport!

Apartments are good except the walls are a bit thin. Hear people quite easily. Nice and close to shops and restaurants. Supermarket is very close.

Positive: We very much enjoyed a meal in the restaurant. Negative: Only real drawback for this hotel is that it costs almost $40 to park in the nearest Wilson's carpark overnight.

The staff were pretty good as a whole. Very polite, however the rooms could do with a refresher. Just some minor things like - Plastic kettle provided in the room looked worn - Burn marks on the iron - Broken hangers

This is a very ordinary place but in a good central location close to shopping cafes and bars etc. The rooms have old tv's and lots of things that don't work properly and the staff seem extremely clueless. Don't go near the restaurant downstairs - the food is inedible.

apart from some pretty slack cleaners this hotel was one of the best I've stayed at in Perth with plenty of room rather than the usual cramped situation
