air con didn't work the first night so we sweltered through thinking it was the 'lead up' to cyclone oswald to blame .. was not so, was the a/c not working properly. this was fixed the next day but made getting ready for a wedding a little bit sticky! 3rd night we were battered by cyclone oswald so there was noisy stuff happening everywhere outside but we remained safe. :) found staff a little bit on the awkward side - not a lot of information provided about the hotel - we had to ask lots of questions. overall, it was great. would stay there again if we scored another kid-free break.

The room was great except the air con only heated the room up regardless of the temp setting, which was not good during the Australian summer. Staffing levels were very low which resulted in long waiting times for booking in at reception, long waits for breakfast (a chef was even used to clear tables, but the fall out from that was the food was slow from the kitchen). Phone calls to the reception went unanswered and after five attempts it was easier to go and join the line of people at the reception. On arrival we were told that we could not use the hotel car park as we were only staying one night. Instead we had to park two blocks away in a public car park, it has to be said that the cost was covered by the hotel. The staff on duty were very busy and were working very hard to keep the guests happy, well done to them.

1, The air con. was leaking water out!!! like raining!! And we've been waiting for more than 40mins but no one has come. I had to went down again to ask for help. We end up with changed to another room in the middle of night and had to move back again next day. No any compensation offered. 2, We requested for a Queen or King bed but we were given 2 single beds. And the gap between the beds couldn't be closed, the receptionist told me it will be a better bed the second night but it didn't.
