air con didn't work the first night so we sweltered through thinking it was the 'lead up' to cyclone oswald to blame .. was not so, was the a/c not working properly. this was fixed the next day but made getting ready for a wedding a little bit sticky! 3rd night we were battered by cyclone oswald so there was noisy stuff happening everywhere outside but we remained safe. :) found staff a little bit on the awkward side - not a lot of information provided about the hotel - we had to ask lots of questions. overall, it was great. would stay there again if we scored another kid-free break.

The room was great except the air con only heated the room up regardless of the temp setting, which was not good during the Australian summer. Staffing levels were very low which resulted in long waiting times for booking in at reception, long waits for breakfast (a chef was even used to clear tables, but the fall out from that was the food was slow from the kitchen). Phone calls to the reception went unanswered and after five attempts it was easier to go and join the line of people at the reception. On arrival we were told that we could not use the hotel car park as we were only staying one night. Instead we had to park two blocks away in a public car park, it has to be said that the cost was covered by the hotel. The staff on duty were very busy and were working very hard to keep the guests happy, well done to them.

1, The air con. was leaking water out!!! like raining!! And we've been waiting for more than 40mins but no one has come. I had to went down again to ask for help. We end up with changed to another room in the middle of night and had to move back again next day. No any compensation offered. 2, We requested for a Queen or King bed but we were given 2 single beds. And the gap between the beds couldn't be closed, the receptionist told me it will be a better bed the second night but it didn't.

It was good. We didn't know what to expect from reading other reviews but it was CLEAN, QUIET and very COMFORTABLE and the views both from the window with the city and canals and from the balcony were incredible! It's not right front sea view, but you can still see the ocean... And the bed was very comfortable, just right. Very worthwhile!

The hotel is situated at the heart of Surfers Paradise and it's only a short walk to all surrounding shopping centers. Room cleanliness, specially when it came to amenities did not impress us at all as we were expecting them to be much cleaner!!!

All was great except for dining experience. Meal ordered as per menu plan was not meal delivered to table and even though we raised this with wait staff nothing was done to rememdy not even an apology.

Everything was really good, the hotel is beautiful and well located - my only complaint is that there was no parking at the hotel, you had to park 3 blocks away from the hotel and then on top of that pay for your parking - I do not think that that is good enough.

The accommodation I booked was for a Hotel room - not a Motel Room. I did not appreciate being told to walk two blocks for car parking. I did not use the car parking voucher but was still made to pay for it. The girl at the front desk could not have cared less. I am not happy and will be advising my friends of my experience. Thank You

The location of the Mantra Legends Hotel was excellent, staff very friendly/helpful, ideal for a short family stay. Parking could get expensive at $17.00 a night.

I stayed here over a weekend, not expecting very much but I was pleasantly suprised by how helpful the staff was. Theywere always accomodating to any request we had and even fixed my glasses when they broke after a big night out. It's walking distance to practically everything in Surfers and the room, although small (I stayed in the Delux Suite) was very nice.

This hotel is in a good location, not far from the beach, shopping and dining/nightlife. It is clean and comfortable and staff are helpful. I wouldn't say anything about my hotel stay was overwhelmingly good or bad. It was an average stay, in an average hotel.

Reasonable hotel, bathrooms need an update and restocking of kitchen consumables was lacking. I thought the price was a little on the high side for this hotel especially after paying $17/night for parking. In room dining menu lacked variety but room service was quick. Very near to the beach with some views of the ocean

We arrived from spending the day at Byron Bay exhausted. We were greeeted by staff who took our bags out of the car and sent them up to our room. Booking in was quick and efficient and staff patient and kind. This was such a relief as we were both so tired. The bedding was really clean and the room though basic had everything we needed for a comfortable nights rest. Check out was just as easy and staff just as friendly as the night before.

We paid $155 for a deluxe ocean view twin room. The room we were given 1010 was anything but ... it was super ordinary ...It had a very small bathroom and the tiny balcony was a joke. The kids gave it a D. The alarm clock wasn't even set to the right time ... HA! .

This hotel was the worst I have ever been to. There was hair on our plates, the beds were 2 singles pushed together and hard as rocks. My partner and I woke up with two bad necks and sore shoulders. The room also smelled. Would not recommend it at all!
