Hotel needs a bit of TLC.Garden on the balcony was only a weed bed and as we only overlooked the servo across the road,it was a pretty sad vista.Room was nice but we were a bit disappointed that there was not even basic things like a toaster or microwave.Even a basic motel has these things.Staff that we met were very nice.

Resort is nicely located. Accommodation is so-so. Staff less than inspiring - didn't even get a "did you enjoy your stay", or "goodbye". A word of warning on room descriptions. A two-bedroom apartment is not as you'd expect - it's two separate rooms (one apartment/one hotel) that are accessed by one communal door! We were travelling with our 11-mth old and paid for a two-bedroom apartment so that we could put the little one down for the night, still be within earshot and have some privacy. Neither my partner or I felt happy or safe about putting our little man next door. As a solution the hotel offered ... wait for it ... two door stops (!) so that we could keep our door open and that of the second hotel room. They couldn't quite grasp the fact that this wasn't exactly ideal. I have stayed in many hundreds of hotels in my life and, to me, a two bedroom apartment means one apartment with two bedrooms WITHIN it. Seemingly, Mantra Heritage Port Douglas are exercising the right to sell-off a two bedroom apartment as two single apartments when they need to.

If it wasn't for the location and the pool outlook wouldn't rate this place. Very tired well overdue for a paint and refurb.

Our first room was quite small for a 2BR and loctaed over the garage, but staff were excellent in finding us and moving us to a much better room when we requested a change of rooms.
