located walking distance from everythng, but no ocean views. Pool very small considering the number of apartments, and noisy at times. Fan needed cleaning - and dirty under sofa and in corners. Booked a 1 bed apt, we were given a 2 bed, 2 bath apt but told not to use the 2nd bedroom or bathroom unless we wanted to pay more! Breakfree also insist on a $200 room deposit on arrival - not cleared from your card until up to 5 days later!

We know Noosa very well and this was our first time at French Quarter. The location is very good. It is not beachfront but the beachfront properties are very expensive. We considered we received very good value for money. The 1 bedroom apartments are a bit small so it is ok for a few nights but more than that would like a larger apartment. A big disadvantage was no room safe which is an absolute necessity in a beach resort (so you can lock up valuables when going to the beach). Staff were very friendly. We will stay here again if the price is right. Lots of kids in the pool which wasn't an issue for us as we prefer the beach.

While the grounds and pool are terrific, especially for a family, the rooms are large but poorly laid out. Not enough towels for 2 (they said they were out of hand towels???) and it took 3 phone calls to the desk over an 8 hour period to get a towel sent up. The place is tired, needs redoing, rooms are poorly lit. There are many better options at the same price or less nearby, so I'd give this one a miss.

We were dissappointed that our 'great deal' to this hotel turned out to be nothing of the sort. The room had not been refurbished for 17 years (according to reception staff after complaint), was not cleaned properly on arrival (but cleaners did a great job once reception were notified), the supplied crockery and cutlery was mostly dirty, carpet was freyed, analogue TV that didn't get childrens channels for our toddler, and to top it off the fire alarm in our hotel room went off for a few minutes whilst we were in the room and our toddler was sleeping with no prior warning from the hotel. After complaining to reception about the room condition they said they could do nothing as the hotel was full, and only offerred a better room for the remaining nights stay if we payed more money. No response so far from hotel so far about feedback given directly. Spacious room and hotel location good.

This hotel provides everything you need for a great stay at Noosa. If only the Queensland government could provide daylight savings ...............waking up at 4.30am and dark by 7pm is not what the sunshine state should provide for a holiday!

I have to say the staff were absolutely fanstastic - so very friendly and helpful :-) The BreakFree French Quarter set the bar (other hotels/resorts take note!) Great Location - so close to the beach and surf club ...but rooms are extremely outdated - looking forward to seeing the renovation!

Stayed at the BreakFree end of July (Winter). The hotel was a great location on end of Hastings Street, near broadwalk & nature walk, plus the beach close by, easy access across the road. Getting into hotel a little confusing, as entrance is on Hastings Street, but reception is at the back off the side street. Rooms are good & clean, our bathroom was a little outdated but was still clean, large with spa bath, adequate to use. Pool is really good, we used even in winter as it is heated and the sun being out made it not so cold. Great apartments, has LCD, DVD, little fridge, small cooktop, everything to cook in room to save some money. Nothing is cheap anywhere on Hastings Street. Would recommend getting a pool side apartment, great for access to pool and watching the kids, we had a second floor apartment with the balcony looking over the pool, which was still lovely. Would stay again. Hope this helps!

Fantastic location. Nice sized rooms, decent pool. One main criticism is that the bed in my room needed to be replaced and bed pillows were flat as a tack. I would recommend to friends.

Great location right in Hastings Street and across the road from the beach, yet away from all the noise and people. Great place for a long stay. The room was newly renovated and very well done. Would recommend it for couples, families or groups.

We appreciated the trouble management went to so that we did not lose our allocated parking. For the second year running the lift was out of service. Not a good gig for oldies sporting broken (and repaired) broken hips.

Great place! But.... be very careful if booking any sort of 'special package' which includes free extras thru Hotel Club. The extra bits do not show on the booking at the hotel, so make sure you ask for them on arrival. We asked twice and eventually got the rejuvination gift pack as we checked out.
