Manotel Edelweiss Hotel Geneva
4 out of 5

The hotel was very welcoming, friendly and comfortable. We made good use of the Geneva public transport passes supplied by Edelweiss and were able to see a great deal of Geneva during our two night stay. The immediate area has shops, restaurants and other useful facilities. The lake is only one street away, a pleasant walk. Breakfast was rather expensive, but I would certainly stay again and would recommend it as a reasonable place to stay in what is an expensive but beautiful city.

The smell of the cheese is around 24 hr due to the location of the best fondue restaurant in Geneva at the lobby of the hotel. + There are No facilities available. But Location & Price are perfect, rooms are good.

We would like to thank all the staff at the Edelweiss Manotel Geneva for their great service and help. On arrival we were made to feel very welcome and were given a map of Geneva and ideas on where we should visit. we enjoyed a lovely meal and entertainment in the restaurant and the staff were extremely helpful on the morning of our departure when due to the terrorist threat they contacted the airport on several occasions on our behalf. we would be grateful if you could ensure that the receptionists on duty on the afternoon of the 9th and the morning of the 10th August are thanked personally and let them know that we were able to fly home that day. we would have no hesitation in recomending this hotel.

We were on the 7th floor with nice view of the mountians and water jet - it was a lovely big room with couch and easy chair and was very quiet. Nice breakfast. We ate only one meal in the restaurant but enjoyed the music and good atmosphere. The food was very nice and service was excellent. 3 minutes to the Gare Routiere and 5 minutes to the main station, 2 streets up from the lake - an excellent location.

Ideal location in the Paqui area, but a bit overdone with the "swiss chalet" decoration. Major problem with ventillation, I could smell the cheeze fondue served in the restaurant all the way up in my room on the 4th floor!

We spent three days in Geneva and really enjoyed ourselves. The Edelweiss Manotel was very sweet and the staff very nice. The room we had on the 7th floor was spacious with a good bathroom. I liked the swiss chalet type furniture and the dining room was very pretty if a bit kitsch. The breakfasts were good. The hotel is well placed near the lake and we took the boat to get to the other side of the lake on the last day. I wished we had done it earlier.

The hotel was perfect for those who want to restrict their budgets and at the same time seek a clean hotel. Although the room was small, the facilities were extremely clean and functional. The staff were very friendly too. The hotel was also located within 7 minutes walk from Cornavan Station, and not in the red light district. It is also close to the lake and you can enjoy beautiful views while you walk from the hotel to the old city. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Warm and charming! We loved the fluffy pillows and blanket. The staff was very nice and helpful. The restaurant was very lively and we enjoyed the truly swiss experience. Entertainment was great. The location was wonderful, close to shopping and the sights.

This hotel is the definitive Swiss Cheesy Experience, if you pardon the pun. The highlight is definitely the hotels own Swiss restaurant complete with yodellers. The Fondue is a must. Highly recommended, and worth so much more than its 3 stars.

A very nice and clean hotel with the theme of a Swiss Chalet. It is within walking distance to everything you would ever need. The staff are very polite and courteous and always willing to help. Overall, one of the best hotels we have stayed in. A 5 star service for a 3 star price!

The hotel was very cute, if you want the Swiss experience, then you should stay here. The restaurant downstairs offers the traditional menu and a fun group of musicians to go along with it. The elevator was tiny and and the room was decent. It was only a walk from the lake which was great for strolling around.

Good hotel, fine location near the lake but a bit of a walk from the old town.....services excellent, reception people on the whole very friendly and helpful (with one exception!) Decoration a little kitsch (no mistaking you're in Switzerland) bit a change from faceless hotels with no character..rooms absolutely delightful, spacious and clean. Poor TV channel choice...for over £100 a night I expect a little more than BBC World...no movie channel for instance

Small friendly hotel - very comfortable although like a lot of hotels in Switzerland they like the heating turned up high! Excellent restaurant with a lively band playing a huge number in instruments. Really good value for money
