usually stay here and enjoy the location close to LRT and shopping, property is getting quite tired now and is in update mode... that would be great rooms are smokey which is a shame but that's life in Manila, hope one day no smoking in hotels

I travel with a service dog for medical reasons. When I arrived they would not let me in with him. They wanted to chain him up in the underground parking after I signed a release they would not be responsible for anything that may happen to him. Luckily I have friends here who could watch him for the night. The room itself was in need of repair. Paint was blistering off the walls and was just not that clean. I had to call the front desk twice to get our bags and call twice just to try and get ice for the room. Bottom line, I would never be back.

this was my first trip to Philippines. the hotel was booked based on the pictures on the website. I was pretty disappointed with the room condition, it equal a 2 star hotel. The services by the staff- false sincerity. I would not want to go back there unless the hotel is renovated.

Having been notified about the flooding in Southern Phils I wasn't able to go to my final destination so I had to weather the situation in MNL awaiting for the good news but never came. And although my stay was only for couple days of reservation, I was able to extend for 2 more days, thanks to the Pavilion staff, who were very understanding of my situation as well as very accommodating despite of busy holiday Christmas week when the hotel was fully booked.

The hotel is rather old so the rooms and plumbing reflect it. Everything was in working order though and the rooms are clean. Only 3 of the 5 elevators were working, so at rush times you have to wait. Only 2 counters are open for check out, the procedures are slow, if there is a problem and you are lined up, figure 30 minutes for the check out, which is unacceptable in my book. Location is great, the breakfast buffet quite nice and adequate. Overall I think you get a good deal for your money, if you book it as a hot deal.

In 2days after arrival we needed to transfer 3 times because the internet rotor did not work then the next room had the same problem then the 3rd room airconditioner was leaking water on the bathroom counter and overfowing in the room hall and carpet that we had to use many towels to dry a little bit and finally they transferred us to the deluxe room but because of the reconstruction was smelling like fecal material in the hallway to the elevator. We stayed here few times and they should have a preferential accomodation to repeat clientel.

Manila Pavilion Hotel is a value for price hotel, for my family this hotel is the best for its price and location. Even the bathroom is an old style one, but its OK for short stay. the carpet is old, but good enough for our stay there. Every time we go went to Manila we stay in this hotel (already 7 times)

The room was looking a bit "tired". the facilities needed upgrade BUT As usual, the staff were so polite and helpful. Buffet breakfast was excellent. I would highly recommend (in fact I already did to my Swiss friends and are booking soon) the hotel and we would stay there again next time we visit Manila. Most importantly, Hotel Club staff helped us greatly alleviate our strife when we have to change dates due to death in my family. Thank you to those concerned.

Staff at reception generally very friendly, however standard of accomadation was not worth the money we spent. On arrival our booking was not confirmed, resulting to an "upgrade" however the executive suite on the 9th floor resembled something out of the "Faulty Towers', 80's throw back hotel suite. There was a distinct musty and damp smell. The condition of the room was old and threadbare, bathroom distisguisting. The bathroom taps where releasing brown water.... it's not worth the money and definetly not comfortable.

The hotel needs a serious upgrade. Bathroom, carpets, walls etc. everything. I have been there 5 times since 2005 but this was my last visit.

Hotel needs serious renovation. Carpets, curtains, bedcovers....dirty. Unwashed for long time....leave alone unchanged. Bedsheets in fresh room had loose hair both times I checked in. Bed linens had tears. Single sofa was torn. Towels old and worn out. Smell of old dust and grime. Owner does not seem to be bothered as people coming in droves for casino and for location. Short-sighted view according to me. In favour...a) Very good breakfast b) Internet comes free and is fast c) Location is very convenient d) Pricing reasonable but does not justify the pathetic condition of the rooms/linens/towels. Will not stay again...will not recommend. However, if renovated and re-done I will be back immediately.

I HAVE STAYED AT THE MANILA PAVILION FOR MANY YEARS WHEN IN MANILA. I AM COMPLETELY SATISFIED WITH EVERY ASPECT OF THE HOTEL SERVICE. ALTHOUGH I AM NEVER GREETED BY A MANAGER, ALL THE STAFF COULD NOT BE MORE FRIENDLY AND GREET ME BY NAME EVERY TIME I GO.

Rooms are very, very ordinary ....... no better than 2.5 stars. They need a good makeover. If you go to the bar, expect add on after add on after add on.

I have stayed at this hotel at least 10 times in the last 12 months and nothing is a problem at this Hotel, there is always some one to help, if the need arises. I always feel comfortable staying there. The addition to your name on the TV when you arrive in your room makes you feel that some one cares. The food in the place offers a very big range of types enough to suit anyone from any country. room service food is presented in a way that could not be faulted even allowing for a bad choice. Some rooms, although showing some age, and lack of care from previous guests, are neat clean and tidy. The location is close to some famous land marks and parks. It is less than 200p from the airport with the new Yellow taxis and less than 100p to the great "Mall of Asia". It is my home when I stay in Manila.

Very old hotel - stinky and dirty carpets! the lights (lamps) in my room did not work properly. The only good thing was the breakfast buffet which was in a newly refurbished dining area. The servise was very good and very friendly staff.

Overall, I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The location was excellent with shopping and restaurants within short walking distances. The only issue I had was the internet connection. The rooms are equipt with WiFi, but the connection is extremely slow and I was rarely able to connect to the internet. The rest of the services were outstanding. The restaurants were excellent, and the staff very accommodating.

Pavillon! I wouldnt come back even its $20 a night. my room has an old storage smells, carpet is filthy no slippers and the aircon is terrible and dodgey doesnt work properly its stop for an hour then come back it work very slow, foods maybe a bit ok. The gym equipment is a decade old. everythings are pretty crummy. its hard not to be critical but I'm very objective.
