Manathai Village Chiang Mai

I can understand the very positive comments about staff in other reviews, they are good and friendly. I can also understand that some like the rustic charm of the place, the pool area is nice. i was not really that keen on the room, dark and cluttered - all a bit cliched - might be nice on a beach. As a base for tourists it would be good, easy access to most places..the lack of taxis is a negative.. a short walk to a busier road but with luggage you are tied to the hotel's transport. Internet unreliable.

The hotel is lovely. Staff is very helpful and nice. There's a desk with travel agent to set up tours or car/taxi renting, very nice! Pool and room are small, but cozy. Rooms are good for couple, but may not be good for friends as you can see through the bathroom on the bed. Located in the back alley, but walkable distance to Night market and Loh Kroh Road (which has a lot of massage places, bars and some shops). Convenient location. Unfortunately, we put some HKD on the desk and it was stolen/disappeared somehow.

Would gladily stay here again, everything you could ask for from a boutique hotel in the centre of Chaing-Mai.

A hidden gem in Chiang Mai. In a quiet area with boutique facilities/atmosphere and a reasonably short walk to everything. Good for both honeymooners and families. Note to families: book the Family Suite (2BR) - for normal rooms the 'extra bed' provided is actually a thin roll-out mat with bedding. The 'real beds' are proper and comfortable. Wonderful staff. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Lovely hotel with fantastic attention to detail and great staff. The hotel is small but well designed to give the impression of space when in. Fantastic design details abound - carefully placed mirrors and lighting cast a beautiful glow at night, imperfect views obscured by careful planting and fresh flowers placed daily on stairways and corners. The room we got through [your website] looked like one of the larger rooms and was well proportioned and fairly spacious. Location pretty good - down a sidestreet (so slightly quieter than a main road) and just about halfway between the Sunday Market area and the Night Market area, with a good smattering of temples around. I have stayed in some nice hotels worldwide and this has got to rank in the top 5 to date.

Beautiful boutique hotel in a little back street.Easy 5 min walk to local day market and night market. 15 min walk to old city. Facilities are small but beautifully presented. Not suitable for children although some stayed there, more suited to couples. We would definitely recommend as good value for money and a wondrful atmosphere.
