Summers are dry with temperatures that can reach 90°F (32°C) and above. Winters are wet with average temperatures between 59°F (15°C) and 50°F (10°C). Average annual rainfall for the area is about 22 inches (558 mm), and visiting is best during the months of June through August.
Getting There & Around
Qwara is served by the Malta International Airport, located about 5 miles (8 km) from the city of Valletta. Malta's public bus transport system operates routes to and from Valletta, getting visitors to their accommodations.
It is important to note that traffic within the city is restricted, so walking or taking public transport is best. Many of the main thoroughfares are pedestrian friendly and easy to navigate.
