• Taste some wonderful traditional Malay delicacies, whilst watching fascinating cultural performance shows, close to the mausoleum complex in Langkawi.

Getting There

Padang Matsirat is the airport servicing Langkawi, and is approximately 20 kilometres from the town of Kuah, which is the destination for those heading to the mausoleum at Kota Mahsuri. If you are comfortable aboard a motorcycle then this is without doubt the best means of transport on the island. They can be hired very cheaply and enable you to nip about at your own leisure. Taxis provide the other main alternative, although prices need to be set before departure. Buses, however, are not exactly reliable, with timetables that seemingly count for nothing.
