But it offers up an interesting cultural blend – see locals enjoying a curry from a banana leaf plate while relaxing in an English cottage. Oh, and if you’re going to take a walk in the jungle, watch out for leeches…

Fraser’s Hill is about 100km (62.5 miles) from Kuala Lumpar. To get there, you will probably need to hire a car or be prepared for an expensive taxi trip, as there is no public transport.
If driving, take care on the single-lane winding road. Traffic is controlled by a gate – you can go up at ‘odd’ hours (e.g. 11am) and down at ‘even’ hours (e.g. 2pm).
Once there, brave the hills and get walking for a workout and the best views.
