The hotel description wasn't bad at all, the 32" LCD was not what they said but I didn't come for their tv, I have my own 5 tv LCD sets at home. But the room was comfortable and my fiancé and I enjoyed the stay and it was in the middle of all nice restaurants we enjoyed. The people are nice compared to here whenever I'm born and raised at. But I would come back again next time I travel up there.

I got this hotel recommended by AAA, as I was very concerned about the many motels in Orlando that customers had complained about bedbugs. There were definitely NO BEDBUGS at Maingate Lakeside Resort. In fact I only saw one water bug in the room and that's really great for Florida! The room was very nice and comfortable and DisneyWorld, Animal Kingdom, and Epcot were only a few miles away. Unfortunately, I couldn't take advantage of their shuttles to the parks, as I had to meet my friends earlier than when they left and I wanted to be able to leave anytime I wanted. I therefore paid the $14/day to park in the park lots. There is a good sized pool. The breakfast buffet is very nice but costs an extra $10. It was worth it though. There is also an extra entertainment tax the hotel levies @ $7.50/day that I wasn't expecting. The room had everything I needed: ironing board, iron, hair dryer, refrigerator, TV, coffee maker, lots of towels. The beds were comfortable and clean and the room was well cared for. Everything worked. I would definitely return to that motel in the future. I had gotten an Orbitz "vacation" with motel, car, airfare all included so I don't know what the motel cost, but the overall value of what I got for what I paid was very good. Just be prepared to expect high prices of everything in Orlando, especially at the Disney parks. It seems exorbitant there and a bit unfair.

Clean & safe room, however... - the sink drained slow - wi-fi was non existent the first day - wi-fi was too weak to use the rest of the time - complimentary airline check-in blocked United Airlines - housekeeping at irregular times

Got on internet easily. Was clean and close to the Disney resorts. An easy drive to Disney.

The room I got was nice, big and clean. Outside the hotel is a stretch of shops and eating places so it was very convenient to buy things or have meals. The free complementary shuttle services to various theme parks in Orlando makes this hotel a great alternative to staying in Disney resorts (and the room rates are much cheaper than Disney too). Highly recommended.
