Location
Situated towards the North of Cairns and positioned high in the back mountains of Port Douglas, Mai Tai looks high across the Coral Coast and the rainforest. The resort is within easy reach to beautiful beaches, fine dining, shopping and the attractions the region has to offer.
Rooms
Mai Tai consists of 4 Balinese influenced suites, which have been carefully designed with hand carved furnishings and fittings. It also offers a beautifully appointed private villa set amongst the rainforest with its own plunge pool. All the suites are equipped with modern amenities to make your stay a comfortable one.

Mai Tai Resort Port Douglas Guest Reviews
Small boutique hotel in a remote location. The owners were away on vacation for six weeks and another person was taking care of the hotel. The service was not up to a good level probably because this person did not have passion or experience in hotel management. I would suggest that the hotel owners improve the driveway tot he hotel - it is very narrow and steep, you almost need SUV to drive in. Make sure to rent a car because the hotel does not have a restaurant and is 15min away driving distance from Port Douglas. Overall unique hotel in a stunning location, make sure the owners are present.

I you are looking for a rather private hideaway, Mai Tai Ressort is definitely the right choice.
