Macdonald Craxton Wood Hotel Chester Guest Reviews
The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent.

The hotel is well situated for Chester, Liverpool and North Wales. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel is well furnished and comfortable. I pointed out to them: a) that the single bed duved was far too small b) There was a cobweb hanging from a wall light in the conservatory which was still there two days later c) the inside of the ice-bucket had some mould in it Apart from that I enjoyed my stay and would visist again.

A really excellent hotel for the most part, though even at discounted rates it was on the more expensive side. The room was first class and the atmosphere relaxed, public areas comfy, leisure part and pool fine. We didn't eat in the restaurant - it was on the expensive side. The alternative light meals were also pricey for what they were and rather ordinary. But certainly we would visit again.

The staff were incredibly helpful, and not just the staff who were meant to deal with guests. Food was also excellent. The location was some way out of Chester, but staff did help to suggest best ways in to the city and how to park.
