It wasn't bad and maybe all Vegas hotels are like this. The whole place stank of cigarette smoke . Most in house restaurants were open to the smoke filled gambling areas.Restaurant prices not too bad. No way to get anywhere round the hotel except going thru smoke filled areas. Monorail stop close to hotel so good. Only $15 fare to airport . I'd go for a totally non smoking hotel next time .

Generally it is an OK hotel. Reasonable facilities, good location but over priced compared to the opposition. The 'resort fee' covers internet, use of the swimming pool and a daily newspaper. On the surface that is excessive but even more so when you consider the internet speed is something akin to ancient dial up with the associated dropouts. Better quality and value to be had elsewhere.

Do not stay here if you like to sleep!! We booked the petit king room for 5 nights...big mistake. We had to move rooms twice!! First night was in the west tower...slumville! Noisy, it was like you were sharing a dorm with the rest of the corridor. So then we paid to upgrade to the grand room ( newly renovated) fine until 5.30am when we had a room full of girls next door who thought the party was now going to be in their room..security sorted that out quickly. Same again next night at 4.30am, security came again. I went to reception again & explained...they moved us to another grand room & gave us a comp buffet for inconvenience. They dont have a floor/ area in the hotel that is for families or those of us that like sleep. Wouldnt stay here again because of this. Rooms were lovely but noise factor is the issue.

Mgm is huge and has everything you need in the one hotel. The room was clean but small and the bed was not particularly comfortable. It is a pretty good location down one end of the strip.

Internet connection was poor, was charged $25 per night but it kept cutting out. We stayed here for our 20th anniversary, we were given an upgrade and were charged $20 per night for this as well, plus tax. So all up, cost me another $100 on top of what i paid. Overall it's in a good location, the staff weren't that helpful and it was clean.

Stayed over the UFC weekend in the New king suite, Was a nice enough place cons were you get no fridge in your room you have to pay 25$ extra as a resort fee which does not even allow you into the weights/gym room, Staff were almost zombie like, But the room was clean an comfortable and a good price.

The standard rooms are dissapointing and poor value. We stayed in a 650 sqft bungalow with panoramic view from the 18th floor of New York and Excalibur the room was great value and very comfortable. The vast public areas were nothing special but you go to Vegas to look around and this is no bad location.

had brilliant time i would say only downside is the 156 dollers resort fee as alot of the other hotels do not charge this other than that perfect hotel and staff very friendly, lisa in west wing bar very helpful and attentive would definately reccomend a visit during happy hour for a cocktail.

The first room we were put it was not part of the renovation, and it was awful. Stains on the carpet, electrical plugs (in the bathroom not working, etc.). They would not agree to move us to a renovated room (or an upgrade) upon request. It was not until we discovered all problems with the room that they agreed to let us change rooms. The renovated rooms are spectacular. My recommendation to the hotel is only for the renovated rooms.

The hotel and staff are fantastic. Very friendly and polite and more than willing to take a minute to make one feel comfortable. The room was very, very nice and the view of the strip was fantastic. We had a wonderful time.

Beautiful hotel, grand, open registration area, and of course the casino is nice. However, don't expect to get much sleep. I spent four nights there and was awoken on three of the nights by idiotic drunk people who walk down the hallway and still think they are in a club! You hear everything. Then, they get to their rooms, and BAM, the doors slam close. Also, I heard the people in the floor above me take showers, which sounded as though it was coming from MY room. Was nice when they were done, but then the pipes would pop, in three successive pops. Unbelievable for a property of this kind! And to top things off, the small wrap around at the bottom of my bed looked as though it had been urinated upon! The cleaning folks didn't see that, or the dark hairs in my shower, before I got in to the room. There are many places to stay in LV, and the MGM is not a property that I'll be visiting again, with the possible exception of the poker room, where the tournaments were fairly easy pickins!
