Location
ME Melia Hotel is set at Pere IV in Barcelona, next to Avenue Diagonal tramway stations and four kilometres to the city centre. A visit to this part of Spain is not complete without stopping by the historic Sagrada Familia Church and National Museum of Art of Catalonia.

We really enjoyed out time at the ME Barcelona. There was a relaxed feel from the staff but they were attentive and quick to respond to our requests. The room was high quality and stylish and the bed was very comfortable. The view from the 18th floor over Barcelona was stunning and I could have stayed another few days for sure! The location is a little out of the way but the tram and buses go from just over the road and we didn't mind the journey into the centre of the city which took about 8/10 minutes. The transport system is very efficient.

This hotel was overall worth the money and was very nice. However, our first night there, the hotel lost power from 3am until 1pm the next day. The elevators were down and we had to climb 17 flights of stairs to get to our room and then were stuck up there with no food, power, etc until 1pm the next day. The room was very small but managable. Concierge and the front desk staff were very friendly and accomodating. The breakfast buffet was not worth the money. Overall, a fine hotel for the money.

it's a little far from the city center but in good location if you have a car. Very expensive parking place (25euro per day!!!) We didn't use it... Good hotel.
