We went to 9 different resorts while in Vegas. This is the only one that had elevators that shook as they were moving. Had a hard time keeping balance. Much of the flooring and carpet was worn and patched. We had no hot water our last day. They said they could fix it but we were going to leave shortly for the airport. They did return our resort fee because of the water problem. I would never stay there again, even if it was free.

We requested a late check-in and the staff was very helpful, and even upgraded our room, since there were no more of the room type we requested. The room was outstanding, great theme, and quality fit and finish. The casino itself is easily navigable, unlike many on the strip, and everything from parking to the text or email checkout was a breeze. The only gripe anyone might have is that the Luxor is close to the end of the strip which means a bit of a hike to some of the other casinos, but the monorail is always available, and close, so take advantage of that and you'll have a great time.

Outside of the room temperature, and front desk telling me the heat was due to the a/c being turned off during the winter (which is one of the stupidest excuses I've ever been told), it was a nice stay. I asked the front desk clerk to 'still' put in a request to have engineering come check out the A/C, someone came up and fixed it within the hour.

In a time where everyone has several devices with WiFi they only have 1 cable in the room.

We went on a week long vacation as a family and stayed at the Luxor. The prices for breakfast and lunch were extremely overpriced and there was no coffee maker or mini fridge in the room. We bought a small coffee maker for the room and non-perishable groceries to help with the rest of the stay. The hotel was very average and nothing special. I was not very impressed.

I was not completely impressed. It is located on the strip, parking availability was OK, staff was nice and the hotel was clean. Prices for anything purchased in hotel has gone up, especially food. There was no mini-fridge nor coffee pot in room and we had problems with our movies going in and out of service. I would not pay full price for this hotel again.

We loved the view from the 21st floor and the convenient location! We drove the strip at midnight and enjoyed the lights. The room and furnishings were clean and beautiful, though the wall art was so-so. The only thing we missed was a coffee pot. Oh, and the lotion is some of the best ever.

Only certain elevators to certain floors. My Room and elevator on that floor where diametrically opposite and it took me 5 to 7 mins to get to my room just from elevator. Connection to Mandalay Bay was great!!

My stay at Luxor was okay. Not glamorus. I had a room on second floor facing the a/c vents. No view. I guess for the price i paid, this is what i got.

There is no wifi anywhere in the building!? The rooms come with a CAT5 Cable thats it!!! Plus things like Starbucks or any eateries there are Verrrrrrrry expensive. Don't like the surprise extra $18+ extra BS Fees they have. I prepaid my room at $40/nite then on arival they say you have to pay this extra fee or you loose the $40 per nite you paid already?

We were upgraded to a suite, which was a treat. The bed was like floating on a cloud, it was so comfortable. Check in process was nicely managed, with a greeter welcoming and directing us - we found that there were hospitality employees stationed at many sites throughout the hotel, waiting to help with any questions, directions, etc. We found the decor in the Luxor in good taste and very reminiscent of our travels in Egypt. I would highly recommend this hotel, particularly if you are able to find a good price (we paid under $100).

I was charged a hidden resort fee of $40.32. I was transfered two times and spoke with a very caustic manager. Although she admitted many customers have complained about the resort fee, she refused to refund. My husband found this article today: FTC Admonishes Hotels For Hidden ‘Resort Fees’ http://www.ibtimes.com//ftc-admonishes-hotels-hidden-resort-fees-909696#.ULq1wadFVnY.twitter Very Shady!

The only thing great of this hotel was that it looks not too bad from the exterior.....internally, from a room quality and service perspective, it's disappointing and way below our expectation. I had book 3 rooms for 10pax over a duration of 4nights and all of us felt the same way about Luxor Las Vegas hotel. I am very surprise that the room does not come with any mini fridge, any coffee making machine, kettle or even bottle drinking water. Staff at the check in/out area and the bell/baggage were not the most pleasant people to talk or provide any service from. Hotel is very old and run down.

Was very disappointed with this hotel. The room was awful, dirty, noisy air on, no safe, no wifi, no minibar, noisy inside, would not recommend.

Had a nice stay, beds were very comfortable. Location was very close to everything. Amazing view inside the casino of the pyramid. Would stay again here. Buffet restaurant was not that great, quite bad actually, I would suggest the Mirage for buffet dinning.

We had a fantastic holiday only marred by the fact that the housekeeping wasn't up to scratch. Two days running our room wasn't made up, the first day got into an unmade bed and the second day I called housekeeping at about 7pm to come and do the room. Not what you expect in a hotel! Strangely that night our alarm clock woke us up at 4am - we had not touched it - the cleaner getting her revenge maybe. Would go back to Las Vegas but sadly not this hotel. Buffet package was good value but the food was better in the Excaliber next door. Also had a Pyramid suite with a jacuzzi that never worked.

Whilst we understand that Las Vegas is a place to part with your money, we weren't overly impressed with the disregard the Luxor service staff had for us. The first example was paying the 'resort fee' for which there's no negotiation, just a hollow apology. This fee pays for local calls, local paper and the internet (not wifi!). Travelling from overseas, this was useless to us! The second was the lack of information about any 'deals' from the front desk staff. The non-smoking room was spacious but clearly was a smoking room before and no amount of a/c cleared the stuffiness. My positive is the bar staff I interacted with were very pleasant, so if you want a drink, go for it!

close to all the fancier strip properties, clean room and friendly bar/restaurant staff. Prices are steep but its Las Vegas. Good Home base for a fun weekend.
