Favourite Cities and Hotels in Luxembourg

The trilingual nation of Luxembourg is one of the most attractive destinations in Europe, with plenty of Old World folk charm and a definite progressive streak. As such, the tiny country of less than half a million people is a must for anyone near the borders of France, Belgium and Germany. With a high per capita income and robust economy, the sole Grand Duchy in the world offers a tidy and cosmopolitan 2,500 plus square kilometres to explore.

The capital city of the same name is a must for visitors to Luxembourg. Home to some 90,000 people, the city is the principal metropolitan area of the Grand Duchy. The affluent city has a wealth of fine attractions, from the Grand Duke Jean Museum of Modern Art to Grand Ducal Palace and the beautiful Cathedral of Notre Dame. The gem of Luxembourg city however, may be the Old Quarters and Fortifications, known as Casemates Bock.
