Much to our surprise, the online photos of the condo rental did not match what we actually walked into. After paying more than what we had paid years past at beachfront condos, we were shocked by the dirty and outdated condition of the unit. The kitchen appliances had to be from the early 80's and contained years worth of built in dirt and grime. The kitchen floor was sticky and had dirt engrained in it's fibers. The bedroom mattress had huge circles of urine and BLOOD stains. The central air conditioning system did not cool the unit, and far worse, the vent was inside the bedroom closet with a filter that was hanging off the unit and covered in an inch of dust. The picture frame above the bed contained a few milimeters of dust and there were dust bunnies hanging on the wall over the bed from the central air system blowing the dusty air into the condo. It was disgusting. The sliding, mirrored closet doors in the bedroom barely opened and were off their track, along with a broken, mirrored closet door that did not have a handle so there was no access to the washer and dryer located behind the door. The pillows on the couch and in the bedrooms were filthy and disgusting. The website boasted a partial bay view and picture of it online seemed decent, but it was really more a street view. The other bedroom closet had a piece of the wall board that covered a huge hole in the wall to access pipes, just broken off and laying on the closet floor, making it unusable. The worst part is that the realty company gave us a hard time about our dissatisfaction with the conditions. After many calls to the company, a harder manager called back saying it was listed as a less than top quality rental. Nowhere on the website did it ever state this or we would not have stayed here. The pictures displayed online made the condo seem nice. They did not show the actual dirt on every wall, scuffed woodwork, thick dust in the corners in the kitchen. We left the condo that day after deciding we did not want to sleep in a filthy bed, found a hotel for the night elsewhere and returned home the next day. We were out a HUGE amount of money and felt totally ripped off. Shame on this owner for sheistering people. Thank goodness we did not have children with us because I could not imagine having a child stay there. Never stay in this particular unit if you want to enjoy your time at the shore. It was the absolute worst and a huge downer.
