Location
The Lu Song Yuan hotel is situated in the heart of the ancient city, inside an old styled Hutong in the eastern part of Beijing. The hotel is surrounded by historical buildings and is only few minutes walk to the Old bell Tower, the Drum Tower and Shichahai Lake.

Lu Song Yuan Hotel Beijing Guest Reviews
This is a lovely traditional style hotel in the middle of the hutong district. From here you can easily walk to the beautiful Huhai lake where there are 100's of bars and restaurants. And from there it's just a short walk to the Forbidden City. The (single) beds are a little hard and there's no internet in the room (although there is in the lovely tea room), but all in all, this is a wonderful Beijing experience.

This hotel was chosen because of location in Hutongs and authenticity of building- coutyard style hotel , and in this regard it was genuine. The breakfast ,with diluted orange juice, did not vary throughout the week and neither the glasses in the rooms or rodenticide in the corridore changed during our stay. While some staff were very helpful another just scibbled an address in Chinese.
