Location
Los Abolengos Grand Class Casona Hotel is placed close to the centre of Tequila, Jalisco. Within the area, guests view the exhibits at National Museum of Tequila, visit the Church of Santiago Apostol or interact with locals at the Main Plaza.

A group of us spent 2 nights here for the annual Tequila festival. Make sure you get a room that it is in the rear of the hotel or else your room will be TINY. Although the hotel looks old it was actually built in the last year. It is 100% safe. And the restaurant is GREAT. The funny thing is...if you are there to do the tours at Cuervo, Cofradia, Fortaleza, etc....it turns out that you can buy the exact same bottle of Tequila for LESS at the HOTEL. They are all there!!! The dining room is very nice as is the patio. The WI-FI is free, but it doesn't work great in some places. Brush up on your Spanish!!! They do speak little bits of English but not much. But if you don't know a word of Spanish I think you will be OK. It is the best place in Tequila which has no foreign chains there to serve foreigners. It was actually referred to me by Guilermo Sauza himself. He lives in Tequila and owns La Fortaleza distillery. You must do the Fortaleza tour. IT IS THE BEST!! Cuervo is cool, too. Overall, if/when I go back this would be the only place I would stay in Tequila and I've stayed at Plaza Jardin among others.

This is the best hotel in town. I The place was beautiful, the rooms were relatively simple, but nice . The mattresses were top notch. Just make sure you ask for a room with two QUEEN beds. If you just ask for two, they will put you in a room with 2 twins and those rooms are tiny. The rooms with 2 queens are much more spacious. Oh yeah. They have free wifi here, and thats's definitely a bonus. You may only get it in certain areas, but you are here for vacation after all.
