Arty, quirky, a little bit eerie, but very comfortable. We stayed for two nights, a couple with two children (in 10 aged 12) - a large room, more like mini-suite. Trams stops are very close by and you can get to the city centre very easily in 20-30 mins. You'd be nuts to pay as much or more staying somewhere grotty or boring in the noisy city centre.

Convenient, clean and comfortable. This hotel is conveniently located near to tram station which is suitable for short period of travel in Amsterdam.

First of all, didnt know they had rooms which needed to share bathrooms. Shared bathroom got very dirty in the evening. Wanted to change to non-shared but most rooms were under renovation. Room was very bare and had nothing much. The floors werent very clean either. However, staff service was close to perfect. If you like quiet places, away from the buzz of Amsterdam then you may consider this place. Location was quite far off from town even though near to the tram 10 and 26 which could link you around. Dont expect any facilities. Even the hot water dispenser on some levels were kind of faulty or difficult to use. The water dispensed tasted like metal.

Lloyd Hotel is quirky, and fun. The staff is excellent, and so is the restaurant. Pretty darn convenient, just a short Tram ride from Central Station. i can definitely recommend staying here, and would do so again on my next trip.

loved the large bath tub in the room itself. my husband and I felt like we were on our honeymoon even if we both are over 70
