highly recommended if you are looking for a cheap price and don't mind living in a compact studio. Don't worry about room facilities. There are even dinnerware and microwave oven. very convenient!

I love this place. So close to the intercity bus terminal and train station. New World and Countdown just around the corner. Cadbury factory up the road. Simon at checkin was very helpful.

Once I aired my room out for a few hours it was fine. Loved the shared space with big covered balcony. I did spend most of the night locked out of my room and without 24 hour reception, it would have been good to have a back up plan, although I blame the fool I was staying with not Livingspace for this one. Over all I'd stay again, excellent value, good location and facilities.

We found the Livingspace to be in a very convenient location. The room was well appointed and even though it was a shrt stay we had, I would be happy to book for a longer stay. Great price and value for money

Have stayed 3 times at Living Space hotels & have found them value for money, but this stay the toilet wasnt cleaned probably due to the toilet not flushing. When mentioned to the reception staff they quickly moved us to another room which was much appreciated.Better attention to cleaning needs to be addressed especially the coffee stains on window ledge & blinds.

This was all I needed 4 short stay but was noisy as my room faced busy Castle st, advise request inner room! Bed comfy, good size tv, no noise from neighbouring rooms. Good amenities although I had no time to use them. Room appeared clean enough but when I went to retrieve something I dropped under end of bed when packing to leave it was filthy, Receptionist said she would have a word with cleaning staff.

Only needing accommodation for one night, I thought I would take the risk and book this hotel as the rate offered was very reasonable. However, standards exceeded my expectations and this was good value being somewhere I would consider staying on return visits to check on my student sons.

We recently stayed at Livingspace, Dunedin for three nights. The rooms are great value and the place had everything we needed. New towels every day, shared lounges and kitchen spaces, a computer room and even our own movie theatre if we wanted! However we found the service from the front desk lacking a bit, not much of a welcome when we arrived and when I asked if they could book us a taxi to go out for dinner - I was pointed to the "taxi phone" and told to ring it myself. The room that we had was on the Castle Street side of the building and was very noisy with trucks travelling south along what is the main highway and an "Energy Factory" that started up very early in the morning. We have previously stayed at Livingspace but our room was on the Hanover Street side last time and was much quieter! So all up - great value and a great place to stay, but see if you can request a room on Hanover Street or around the back of the building!
