Lilianfels Blue Mountains Resort & Spa Guest Reviews
Having travelled extensively, this is definitely an A1 quality Resort.! If you are looking for near perfection Lilianfels is it. Service, facilities & cleanliness are bare none. High tea rates as one of best we have enjoyed and staff immaculate to detail down to the valet parking. However, the SMH 2 hat awarded restaurant is puzzling in that it is beautifully appointed but the food standard, when we visited, was poor quality and the maitre de was overbearing when we complained. Be prepared for the cost $'s to match the experience.

Parking is completely inadequate for the number of guests. I was told to park on the street which was a long walk in the cold and dark. To add insult the parking is metered. The reception staff seemed unperturbed and unsympathetic.

A short stay but fantastic none the less. Will be back for a longer stay next time to enjoy the service, facilities and great views. Room was lovely, very clean and had a lovely old world charm about it, yet not dated. A great winter escape with fabulous facitlities. Darelys is a great dinner option - highly recommended.

The lounge area was not available to guests. It was booked out to private visitors and there was no where warm to sit and read. This was not acceptable as the motel advertises that this area is available to guests. The only alternative was to sit in a very cold library with no heating or to sit ouside in the cold. They should not be able to use areas of the motel for commercial purposes and charge guests while advertising that guests have access to these areas. This is double dipping, false advertising and not acceptable as a paying guest. Even staff admitted that this was not right. Staff were very nice but could not do anything about the decision taken by management. If you want to go to this motel you have to book to sit in their lounge area and they do not tell you.

I am surre this was once a true 5 star hotel but it is a bit past its "use-by" date now. Our room with a view did have a view if I stood on the desk and leaned forwards to see over the rooftop. The room decor was "tired" as was the beaten up room service tray. It had done a few too many deliveries. The service was absolutely immaculate and my compliments on that aspect
