Les Gens Mer Hotel Marseille is very nice hotel located very near to city center. We got room on the 1st floor with huge veranda we were dining in the evenings. We are very satisfied with hotel and definately plan to visit Marselle again and stay here.

Friendly, good breakfast and a reasonably central location - within easy reach of the Metro.

We were asked to complete a disclaimer on arrival since we were unable to access the terrace for the room. Apparently there was building work underway on the roof and nobody was allowed outside although we were allowed to access the building from the pavement and sit on the communal patio. This detracted slightly from our enjoyment but Marseille itself made up for this. The room was basic with one socket which was not near a mirror. There was air conditioning which was very welcome. Breakfast good value at 7euros. Hotel 5 minutes from the Metro and buses to the port. Bought a 3 day travel pass which we used to the full. Very enjoyable break
