Le Parker Meridien New York Hotel Guest Reviews
We checked in at 3 pm but was told the room was ready but come back at 3:30. We walked in central park for two hours. When we came back we had a difficult time checking in. No one wants that after a long day and I already gave my credit card and was told it would be ready at 3:30 PM . It took awhile to get fixed , we were told needed to wait the room was ready but needed to wait, really . ok we went for a burger waited in Burger Joint. everyone makes fuss about it but dont see the big deal, its a burger in a joint, ok for NYC its unique. An hour plus later my partner said if its not ready we were leaving. oh great ! and when he is bad oh boy. I went back to the woman and she said oh its still not ok yet. bs. i saw it in her eyes , she was just trying to screw with us. BECAUSE , when I told her we would have to leave if its not ready , she looked at the computer in front of her and it was ok. They were not overly busy because there is LOUD construction going on and you cant even hear inside. Finally in our room. and the bed is not very comfy, the sleeper sofa is worse, but the room was a larger room. We stayed here cuz wanted to use the pool. Walked in and honestly gaged ! I was overwhelmed with a smell mixed with the chlorine smell and it stuck in my throat. the young guard said they sealed the floor . But its not toxic , hahaha wrong , he was soooo naive , he didnt even know about 9/11 people dying. Plus the pool was not a comfortable temp, for a adult, kids dont care. but i do. The location was good, elevators worked.

NIGHT OUT wrote on October 13, 2011
We stayed for 5 nights checking out Oct 5th. We stayed in a suite that had a strong deodorizer smell when we walked in... something wasn't right. The hotel was full that first night otherwise I would have switched rooms immediately. There was water damage in the bathroom and the bedroom area and they masked the mold smell with deodorizer. When I complained the next morning that we didn't like our room. The front desk didn't seem to be bothered... They got us another suite (said we couldn't get a refund on a normal room b/c we prepaid through orbitz). The new suite was much nicer until we discovered stained hand towels (more than one) and a very nasty, blood-stained robe in the bathroom... It was a horrible series of experiences... I had stayed there in 2008 and it was much nicer but this trip will be my last. for sure. They sent a fruit plate b/c of the robe and towels... Sorry, just not enough service/care/cleanliness for our money. Will not be back.

We just had a great stay at Le Parker Meridien. The staff was exceptionally nice and the room was well appointed and comfortable, although a bit on the small side. The location was very convenient. I would highly recommend this hotel.
