This was some time ago that I visited but I will always remember the great service, wonderful good sized , elegant room overlooking the square. A joy to come back to each day. Had helpful tour desk staff who arranged my local day tours with informative guides. Yo0u could walk around the square and not feel un safe. All room and hotel facilities n food great.

centrally located, walking distance to Alexandria Bibliotheca, Greco roman museum, 10 mns taxi to National museum, 1/2 hour walking to the Citadel.Pricing is excellent double BB approx $100 with [website], walk in pricing is $250 per night. This is not my 1rst stay at Metropole.

A pleasant and atmospheric hotel, which was once the government building where the great Constantine P. Cavafy pretended to work but actually sat writing his wonderful poetry.

Friendly staff showing unusually good service spirit, excellent location compared to many known chains that need a 30 min taxi ride to anywhere, extensive good breakfast, unusually spacious rooms, free internet. Would definitely revisit.

beautiful building with determined to please management-a change for Egypt! Hotel far grander and nicer than Cecil for half the price.
