Alot of construction going on. I called 2 days before to ask about construction going on they told them there was none. No sun in afternoon by pool blocked by new hotel being built. Not a five star resort.

The Reception service very poor. It took nearly an hour to check in. The reception was always crowed and the staff unable to cope up and not very friendly. The staff appeared handicapped with language as well as the use of technology. All the 3 desk customers were cribbing for the various hotel services while we were waiting to check in. We had to remind the housekeeping to clean the room. The hotel restaurants had very limited menus. Our room coffee maker was cracked. Hotel had a steep charge for Wi-Fi use and only one PC was available in the lobby area which was very slow.

Someone is not overseeing this hotel properly starting with a 30 minute check-in ordeal, coffee maker in room but no coffee after day one, etc. I travel often but would not stay at Le Meridien,Cancun again.

I found hotel to be quite ordinary...I was told that it was 5 star when I booked the tickets, but it did not seem anywhere close to that except for the prices....internet connection sucked..for good 6 days I was not able to connect through Wifi in my room or through computer in hotel lobby....room was pretty small...furniture and lamps were of of cheap quality.....moreover it was inside a small street, so was easy to miss at times. I also booked tours through hotel and the guy seemed more interested in taking my money rather than giving me clear picture of what I am going to get out of a particular tour. For example tour for Xelha costed me 109 dollars but this was just fee for transportation, cover charges for park that included b/f and lunch, but I had to buy separate tickets for each major attraction. Moreover the booking agent told me plenty of veg. option at these places, however the food was quite limited as far as veg options were considered
