Lamp Post Inn Ann Arbor Guest Reviews
It was clean and comfortable. The refrigerator was a little small and I only had a microwave but it was very nice.

I was visiting the B-school at UM and just needed a close place to crash. This was a no-frills cheap hotel that gave me what I needed: a bed and a bathroom.

You know, the Lamp Post Inn is quaint, but frankly, pretty gross. If you need to stay longer than one night, I would invest in another hotel, even if it's more expensive. The Inn is run-down, but it meets very basic needs -hot water and heat. The microwave and fridge were nice to have. Trader Joe's around the corner was also great. Pillows/linens were awful, smell is awful. I didn't even bother with their breakfast. The staff is very friendly and the rate is also friendly, but if you're looking for a place to stay for more than one night, go elsewhere.

Building is ancient and it shows. First room had water damage from leak. Second room was better until walkway from floor above started spewing down concrete(!) and other debris. This was outside the room, but had anyone been walking underneath, they would have been seriously injured. The inn is literally falling apart. The staff is friendly and the location is excellent, but I do not consider unless the building is completely renovated.

The hotel was fine for us, since we were out all day and just needed a place to sleep. It wasn't particularly special in anyway, but wasn't awful.
