Location
Located in the heart of the Waikato, this lodge is an ideal place to reside, as it has lots of adventures all nearby, including sandy beaches, ski fields, water skiing, kayaking, bush walks and a great choice of golf courses.
Rooms
Meticulously finished to the highest standards available, all suites radiate warmth and elegance and open onto individual balconies with spectacular views of Lake Karapiro and the surrounding countryside.
Restaurant
The lodge enjoys a great reputation for its cuisine, that includes breakfast with a selection of fresh fruits followed by a cooked breakfast.
General
Sit back and relax in front of an open fire in the drawing room, curl up on the couch and read a book or watch your favourite sport on the big screen. Soak up the sun and laze by the pool or take a cruise on the lake, visit the Karapiro Dam, take a hike in the mountains or an eco walk through the famous nearby Maungatautari Scenic Reserve.

What a wonderful place!! My wife and I stayed there for a night, and wish we could have stayed longer. The innkeepers Ann and Eddie were great and extremely hospitable. They made us a lovely, homecooked dinner with local ingredients, and lovely breakfast the next morning. This place is about 90 minutes from Auckland and has a gorgeous view of the river valley below. It is about an hour to the Waitomo caves and is thus very convenient to visit them. Probably a good place to stay if you want to see both Rotorua and the Waitomo caves, which were very cool and fun.

Exquisite fit-out and decoration. Hosts are lovely people, very egger to please, nothing is too much trouble. It’s a great spot if you are into golfing, lots of courses nearby.
