Pleasant overall stay, but was surprized to hear that I had to pay for my car's parking when I checked OUT ! Nobody told me that when I checked in!

We enjoyed our stay very much, but they can improve by having more bathroom accessories instead of just a very small cake of soap. Other than that everything was very good.

The Lady Hamilton was located in an excellent part of Cape Town making getting around very convenient. Rooms were clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. My daughter is at UCT so I will be down often over the next few years and definitely stay here again as the rate was also excellent value for money.

Had a pleasant stay and the hotel is conveniently located near the centre of Cape Town. A bit irked about having to pay for parking though. Otherwise recommended.

Excellent value for money - a great location within easy walking distance of Kloof and Long street. The small pool was a nice touch and provided a very pleasant location for the very resonably priced breakfast. A great place!

Lovely homely hotel. The free tea and coffee in the bar all the time is an excellent idea, much nicer than in room facilities. Unfortunately our room had a very small loo and shower room, most other rooms seemed to have a full bath! Would like a breakfast included price rather than the room only one offered.

Internet facilities were provided at a exorbitant costs and at a very poor service. Should be wireless and free in 2009.

Room very good the only thing we missed was tea and coffee making facilities nice to have a cuppa first thing in bed when on holiday. Meals also very good and plenty of it as they are all help yourself as much as you want.

I would not choose to stay in this hotel again. No Lift. Shower door was broken and bed terrible. Changed room 2nd day. Window was not clear glass and only able to be opened a few cm's. Room small. Where are the amazing rooms that were referred to in the reviews? Almost everyone we spoke to at the hotel had basically the same complaints. What were the host of in-room amenities of good standards that were mentioned in the promotion? No remote for TV. No DSTV. One of our group's bathroom light was not working and they were given a lantern to use. On the plus side - the free coffee and tea available in the diningroom and all the reception staff were really friendly and handled all complaints very professionally - dining room staff were looked bored and uncommunicative. Over the past few years we have booked many hotels throughout Europe through [website] and this hotel is definitely the one that does not deserve recommended status.

I was not overly impressed with this hotel - not so much as a kettle in the room as far as facilities go! Great location though so would recommend it for a bed only basis as food was not great either.

We were especially pleased with our stay at the Lady Hamilton Hotel. The location was terrific for walking around and touring Cape Town and the staff (specifically Charlene???) was very helpful. Breakfast buffet was plentiful. The evening buffet was pricey and we chose to eat in neighbouring restaurants.
