Location
Built at the end of 19th century on the quiet green area slightly on the hill, the Hotel La Vela is a little castle that is placed just a ten-minute walk from the centre of Santa Margherita Ligure and is 4 kilometres from Portofino.

Picturesque views. Magnifcent neighborhood. Clean. Good value. Ten minute downhill walk to everything. Challanging walk uphill but worthwhile. Nice room. Includes a satisfactory complimentary breakfast. Good value for the money.

There are no hotel facilities other than the room and breakfast so if you like to relax in a longe/bar, there is nothing like that available. There is a sun deck on the roof with basic sun loungers. It's a very interesting old building providing basic accomodations.
