Well located with Easy access from I-49 at Exit 90 next to Cracker Barrel, La Quinta Inn is easy to reach the Arna Bontemps African American Museum. Had two rooms. One excellent with all amenities and one missing chair for desk, smoke alarm cover off with no battery, A/C controller did not work properly, no frig or microwave in it. Looks like a hit or miss when you order room. Too tired to go down and complain so don't know response from desk. Breakfast was good.

This hotel is in nice proximity to the airport. The staff was very freindly. A fair, free breakfast includes waffles, cereals, juices, coffe, yoghurts, breads/muffins; no meats, but food was satisfying. The rooms are cleaned daily, but not polished; (carpets stained but vacumed, bathrooms cleaned daily,Bathroom amenities were sparse, (basic little soap, tiny shampoo bottle)...towels replaced daily). Mini-fridge and microwave were very clean. Bed was suitable; semi-firm mattress, linens clean and changed daily, (or every 3 days at your request.) Basic cable tv with options to purchase playtime with nintendo 64 games, adequite air-conditioning, and there is a guest laundry, (coin slots for washer and dryer..buy soap or byo), (one washer, one dryer, both worked.) There were also several good vending machines (that worked!) on the ground floor and a couple on each floor with a decent selection of coke products and snacks. There are two computers on the ground floor with internet access (free to use), with printer. Both work well. There is a Cracker Barrel restaurant by the hotel, and the hotel is by easy acess to main highways. This is not a 5-star hotel to be sure, in that it could use fresh carpet, wallpaper, etc...but all things were in-tact...not tattered, just used looking. In short, it has a "lived-in" look, not dirty. However, it was a pleasant stay, and our bathroom was clean, no bedbugs, free breakfast, makes it a suitable choice for the area.
