My experience at this hotel was beyond bad. My plane was late and got in at 2am. When I arrived at the hotel, it was closed-there was an emergency number on the door, and it gave an answering machine that nobody answered. The hotel number said you could leave a message, but you couldn't. I ended up sleeping in my car. The next morning I called the hotel, and they refused to refund the room charge. They were quite rude about it. I travel extensively and have never seen a hotel with a front desk that closes without a back up number. I would not stay here under any circumstances.

If you are tired of staying in those 'cookie cutter' hotels while on business, then this is the location for you while in La Jolla. I paid $98 per night found through [website] and booked through [website] 2 days prior. I had a partial view of the ocean and sunset, 4 windows that opened to the ocean breeze, free underground parking, roof deck with free continental breakfast, NY times in the morning, the staff is professional and friendly, walk to everything in the village. I will stay there again!

It was a very quaint small hotel. Enjoyed our stay very much and the breakfast every morning. The only drawback was the parking. Quite a walk, but otherwise every thing was just fine.

Friendly staff. WIFI was only available in hallway. Avoid the "village-level" rooms, as they are very dark. Excellent location! Breakfast on the roof terrace is wonderful. Good value for money.
