A good place to come home to after a day of sight seeing. The staff was always helpful and polite. You'll never want to stay in a regular hotel again. The location was good and taxis to the train and bus stations were reasonable.

I was in the annex next door to the main building and I didn't think it was as nice as the main one.Rooms were quite dark otherwise enjoyed my stay.

The Knight Residence is an excellent facility with secure car parking which is a big bonus in Edinburgh. I stayed in a superior apartment which was like a home from home. The facilities were excellent and the little attention to detail really made our stay e.g full bottle of milk in fridge, plentiful breakfast supplies including a loaf of bread. The concierges attention was excellent and even gave us a tour of the room which had a fantastic view of the castle, although disappointingly the view will be lost soon due to the construction of a office across the road. The reason i have marked location as average is that it is in the centre of the lap dancing bars, so there were a lot of leery men hanging around from 7pm onwards, a bit disconcerting for my girlfriend. Actual location to all the major attractions is excellent with a 5 minute walk to Princes Street and the Grassmarket. Please don't let the location put you off as these apartments are excellent.

These apartments are an excellent alternative to a hotel particularly if you enjoy privacy and comfort. Security measures are impressive. Attention to detail within the apartment is exceptional. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
