Nice location, very pleasant staff, stayed there because we thought it to be near the Bay of Isl;ands but it is an hours draive away and there is a very nice looking Kingsgate there.

An average hotel, definitely short-staffed due to it being off-season. The room was clean, but the hallways hadn't been vacuumed for days (leaves and such all down the hallway.) The facilities were nice (pool, spa, sauna) but small.

The food served for Continental Breakfast only included Vegemite / Marmite that could be eaten by a diabetic very limited range of food compared to other hotels I have stayed at in New Zealand. The service is off-handed. One day the room was not vacuumed.

The hotel is located close to the "Town Basin" - restaurants, tourist shops etc.
